47 Cakes is a small business based on the northern Beaches, Sydney, which focuses on elaborate and creative cakes. Our aim is to make cakes that are unique for any occasion.

We will work with you to create a cake suitable in size, flavour, design and decoration. We will turn your ideas into reality.

Our aim is to take any stress away from you, and still provide you with a cake of your dreams.

ABOUT THE BAKER

I have been baking and decorating cakes since I was a teenager. As a qualified pastry chef with several years of pastry experience, I decided to focus solely on creating cakes for special occasions. My goal is to make any of our customer's celebrations that little bit

extra special with a perfect cake. I will personally speak to you about your celebration and the cake you would like. Together we will design something perfect that both you and your guests will love.

Make an order

Everything, from the cake to the decorations, are made in house, specifically to your order. We can also accommodate for certain food intolerances upon request. We ensure that the cake you are receiving is both fresh and tasty. The flavour of the cake is just as important to us as the decoration!

Choose a flavour

Popular cake flavours include:

Chocolate, Vanilla, Lemon & poppyseed, Raspberry & white chocolate, Caramel

We have no limitations with flavours and are happy to provide you with any you may desire.

Dietary requirements, such as Gluten Free or Nut Free are also possible upon request.

Buttercream and filling flavours:

Most cakes we produce are made with vanilla buttercream (due to aesthetic purposes); however, it is possible for other flavours upon request.

The cake layers can also be filled with flavoured buttercream and/or other fillings such as jams, mousses or fresh fruit.

Choose or create a design

Almost any design or theme for your cake is possible. The most common cakes we sell are one tiered, circular cakes, topped with any decoration desired. This may include certain colours, themes or edible decorations.

We recommend a conversation with Laura, before placing an order, to ensure your cake suits your needs.

Size

The sizes of our cakes are created upon request, depending on the amount of people you are wanting to feed.

Our standard sized cake is 7.5" (19 cm) in diameter, which sits on a 9" (23cm) cake board. The height of the cake can be altered depending on design and the amount it needs to feed.

For example: A 7.5" (19cm) cake with a height of 15cm, would serve 20 dessert sized slices.

Two tier cakes are also an option, as well as any sized cake.

Upon request, extra additions can be included:

Cake toppers, Figurines, Personalised messages, Fresh flowers, Other cake shapes

How to order

Our main priority is providing you with a cake that you not only love, but that enhances the theme of your celebration.

Every order is personally viewed and accepted by Laura, to ensure the cake meets your needs.

To order or just enquire about a cake, please contact us.

It will be helpful to provide the following information:

The type of celebration the cake is for
The amount of people you are wanting to feed
Any preferred themes, colours or designs
Any dietary requirements
Preferred flavours

Feel free to provide any reference photos to assist with the design.

Pick up is preferred, however delivery can be arranged with a fee. All this information can be provided to you upon your first enquiry with Laura.

At least 2 weeks notice is preferred for any order, however shorter notice may be accepted depending on the cake and availability. A deposit will also be required at time of order!!!

Our products

No, we don't just specialise in custom cakes!

We also sell a variety of Large whole cakes, serving about 12 people. You can buy these cakes as they are, or contact us to make any changes regarding size or dietary requirements.
